Welcome to our web site!
Horsesmiths Farm is located in the heart of the scenic Ozarks. There
is land and beauty enough to nurture the soul of both man and horse. Our herd roams free and natural. We lean on the gate
and enjoy them.
January '09 We had a trojan infect our computer and have lost all contact information for the last year. If we have talked with
you in the past year about a sale or a breeding to our stud, please recontact us with your information. We are unable
to contact you as promised.
We have nice foals from our AQHA Smoky Cream / Perlino stallion and will
offer him for outside breeding in 2009. Both live cover and shipped semen are available. Please visit Why's page for
more details.
He has been started under saddle and is a willing and calm partner. At his
first breedings he was a perfect gentleman. We are very pleased with him and excited by his demeanor. He is proving himself
to be everything and more than we had thought he might be.
Why has foals due for '09. Keep a watch for photos of his foals as the arrive. Perhaps
our buckskin mare will give us another Smoky Cream from his Smoky Cream / Perlino genetics?? He was also bred
to our grulla mare that has given us excellent foals in the past. We have high hopes for this baby. He was also bred to several
other mares that we have sold or were outside breedings.
The photo below is from last fall. Why has grown up quite a bit over this winter,
just as soon as it is warm enough for a good bath, we'll have "new and improved" photos to put up on his page. Just click
the photo for a better look at him.

We have an extensive genetics page on the site, explaining
Smoky Cream, Cremello and Perlino genes and other cross information to help you determine what color your foal would
likely be if bred to our stallion.
Why has been tested and he is actually a Smoky Cream but will still be called a Perlino by
AQHA. Smoky Cream means he is a black based horse instead of a bay base.
