Welcome to our web site!
Horsesmiths Farm is located in the heart of the scenic Ozarks. There
is land and beauty enough to nurture the soul of both man and horse. Our herd roams free and natural. We lean on the gate
and enjoy them.
We test bred our AQHA Smoky Cream / Perlino junior stallion in
2007 and will offer him for outside breeding in 2008.
He has been started under saddle and is a willing and calm partner. At his
first breeding he was a perfect gentleman. We are very pleased with him and excited by his demeanor. He is proving himself
to be everything and more than we had thought he might be.
Why has a confirmed foal due for 08. Perhaps our red dun mare will give us a buckskin
from his Smoky Cream / Perlino genetics?? He was also bred to a Thermo Sox sorrel mare that belongs to
a friend of ours. They didn't have her confirmed in foal, so we wait for the thickening belly.(Jan 08 -They have
told us she is in foal.)
The photo below is from last fall. Why has grown up quite a bit over this winter,
just as soon as it is warm enough for a good bath, we'll have "new and improved" photos to put up on his page. Just click
the photo for a better look at him.

WHY'S FIRST FOAL IS ON THE GROUND - A FLASHY CORRECT COLT.
We have an extensive genetics page on the site, explaining
Smoky Cream, Cremello and Perlino genes and other cross information to help you determine what color your foal would
likely be if bred to our stallion.
Why has been tested and he is actually a Smoky Cream but will still be called a Perlino by
AQHA. Smoky Cream means he is a black based horse instead of a bay base.
Fall 07 - We have sold our Cremello stallion, True Dreamin
Dude to some very nice folks in Kentucky.
